When I laminate anything not reasonably flat it can wrinkle up where the air is trapped.

I notice the plastic around the Jesus guy looks to have air pockets as well. Also looks as if they tried to laminate, didn't get the seal tight enough, then pulled it off to try again. Looks like they did that several times, causing the sticky to bunch up.
