My wife asked me to hand her a packet of onion soup mix to make dip. I handed her a packet of Italian dressing mix instead. Neither of us noticed until we dipped our chips in. We had a good laugh over that. Well, at least our taste buds aren't gone...yet!

1 2 lemons sliced when i copied out the recipe. When I read my own writing I put 12 lemons in with the chicken. (I am also not an accomplished cook). I brought it for dinner at my Dad's nursing home. Nobody could touch the chicken. The lemon was so strong. We threw it all out. I had read 12 when it really said 1 - 2 lemons. I wasn't using my glasses all the time then. Now I have my glasses with me all the time.

(6,999 posts)My mom once tried to cut the grease in her chicken soup by adding grapefruit juice. Ugh, disgusting. I'm not a picky eater, but even I couldn't eat that!!

Ugh, why does old age have to hurt so much? I'm a 30 years plus nurse and my knees are shot!!

(6,999 posts)We continued to eat them after we looked at each other, like,"WTF?" Different but good.
Today, I am making us a crudite platter with salmon dip, the dip we made from Italian dressing and a white cheddar and bacon dip I bought. Celery sticks, carrot sticks, bell pepper sticks and crackers. Oh, and a cheese ball I bought. No cooking, just chopping and stirring.
