(2,780 posts)Its horrific. I remember things I dont EVER want to remember. I think about what we would do if some electrical outlet started a fire and burned down the house. I listen for my spouses breathing since I worry that he will die in bed (no reason for this, he is 75 but quite healthy). I worry about losing our dogs, particularly the oldest onean unbearable thought. The list goes on and on. I typically wake up at 3:30 and I lie in bed suffering with thoughts till about 7 or so, when it gets light out and I finally doze off again. After 3-4 nights of this in a row, I take a sleep aid just to have one night of relief, then it starts all over again the next night. I cant get up and readour bed isnt comfortable for sitting up and reading, and if I come out to the living room the 3 dogs will follow me, fuss to go out, generally make noise and wake my sleeping spouse up. Thats not fair. So I lie there just waiting for the night to be over.
