7. the missus and I met in 1971-- we were 16

We weren't romantically involved, but were best friends for years. I couch surfed at she and her ex-husband's house for a while in my early twenties. Then they moved to Colorado and we lost touch for a couple decades. I moved to California. One day in 2005 (I think) she found references to me online (including DU) and emailed. I called, and our old friendship restarted like it had never paused. Eventually I stopped by to visit while on a road trip and after a couple more visits each way we acted like teenagers again. We both turn seventy this year. What a blessing!

I was with the previous for 14 and married for 9 before she cheated. She felt having kids, I cant have kids for some reason, was more important than our marriage.

She cheated, I told her to get out after 2 months long hard months of trying, and she got pregnant by him. Then she had the nerve to try to come back and say we could raise the kid as our own. How about no.

My life is much better, I am with a woman who actually has the drive to do better. And she helped bring me up and gave me the drive to do better.
