Patti Smith Announces Fall 2025 U.S./European Tour CelebratingL

Still rocking and not in a chair. I have to confess I really don't know much about her as she came on the scene for me. So this tour is going to be centered around her album "Horses" One of the songs she did 50 years ago was Van Morrison's "Gloria."

We danced to this song done by myriads of bands of various skills. The Houston DJ would play the Them/Van Morrison "Gloria" and credit it to The Shadows of Knight. We knew they were lying.

Anyway this "Gloria" by Patti Smith is really something.

As a NYC'r I heard about her first through our then weekly Village Voice (as in The Village in NYC) newspaper.
.
Maybe a few months to a year before Horses came out - our (my sis & I) favorite free form DJ played 2 original CBGB's bands independent singles. Little John Jewel by Television; which I hated; though became a big fan later on.
Piss Factory by Patti, which I loved!

Anyway we went to see the PSG at The Bottom Line debuting Horses. Became life long fans! Seen her many times.
