Opinion needed- Should I cancel appointment

Is 24 hours to short a time to cancel hair appointment? We have a weather alert for the area . Temperatures with wind chill feeling like 6 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds 40 mph which will cause the 4 or so inches we have to blow & drift. I hate to be a chicken poop but I am going to be 63 on Saturday, have had a sinus headache ache for 4 days straight, plus I have Raynauds syndrome in feet, fingers, and shoulders. My gut is saying cancel but I don't know if that's fair to the hairdresser?

Plus my aide from companion services has to drive a good ways to get her and was kind of hoping to let her go early as I think her area is going to have worse weather.

Guessing stylists don't want to risk life & limb either, so if enough cancel, maybe they will close for the day SheltieLover Feb 17 #6

I called. That way if my aide from the companion service cancels, I don't have to give even shorter notice, and my aide won't have to feel like she has to come. I'd cancel her too but they require 48 hours notice, so it's too late. The weather people didn't extend the warning into tomorrow until just awhile ago.

We haven't had this bad a winter in years. I think we have all forgotten how to handle it.
