…makes possible. I look up all manner of topics every day.

What I wouldn’t have given for the internet and a word processor back in the early 1980s when I was in grad school getting my nursing master’s. When I think of the hours and hours I spent in the medical library - first going thru The Reader’s Guide To Periodical Literature and the card catalog, then roaming the stacks to pull journals and books, then discarding those that sounded like they would address my topic but didn’t really, then either taking handwritten notes or feeding dimes into the copy machine.

And how much easier a word processor would have been than a typewriter for someone like me who never took a typing class and was a hunt and peck typist, or had to pay someone to type papers for me. Many a time, I would get all the way to the bottom of a page that I had slowly and painfully typed, only to hit a wrong key and have to do it all over again.

Ricky Nelson was one of my all-time favorites growing up.
When I was a kid, I watched Ozzie & Harriet reruns & loved to see Ricky play guitar & sing at the end of the shows.

One thing puzzles me is that in the movie "Up in Smoke" (1978) one of the Roxy doormen at the "Battle of the Bands" looks a lot like David Nelson, only the guy was a blonde.
I'd always thought that the guy was David Nelson's son, but despite Wikipedia & other sources saying the Roxy doorman was David Nelson; it turns out that he didn't have a son named David (4 other sons, but no David)
That couldn't have been Ricky Nelson's brother David, because David would have been 42 in 1978, and that guy playing the Roxy doorman looked much younger than that. (It's possible, I guess, that it was 42-year-old David Nelson, with his hair dyed blonde, playing that part)
