Everyone here will have a good day!

It is cold and gloomy here at what I am increasingly thinking of as β€œthe front” in the war, the DMV area, but I know spring is coming soon, and perhaps better times are also coming soon.

Today I will feed the crows. They love the peanuts in shells I put out for them, but I have found they also love the leftover bits of my homemade breads, which has more nutrition than stuff from the store. Real butter, eggs, a bit of sugar, milk, good quality flour. In fact the crows snatch up the chunks of bread, before they go for the peanuts!

And I found a recipe that looks interesting, for tamale balls. Ground pork and ground beef and crumbled corn bread all mixed together, enchilada sauce on top and Monterey Jack cheese melted over all of that. If the recipe turns out well, I will share a link to it in the cooking group.

I hope everyone finds a moment of peace and happiness today and I hope everyone has some nourishing and yummy food to eat.
