He took his own life in August of 2001. The line "I always thought that I'd see you again" hits hard for me.

Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh. and the last concert there at the Mellon Arena with James and Carol before they tore it down. I loved the song Fire and Rain. There is a back story to it though as he was at the same Mental Health Hospital as my SIL in MA. Which makes the song more meaningful and touching.
