Back from hospital! I missed you all.

My husband drove me to the ER Sunday afternoon with chest pain and difficulty breathing.

Diagnosis: multiple pulmonary embolisms and fluid in lungs.

Probably caused after a bad case of flu followed by intense fatigue that kept me in bed much more than normal.

They put me on intravenous heparin. That helped a lot. Today they switched me to an oral blood thinner and warned me to be careful about avoiding cuts and scratches.

Sitting at my desk enjoying a good cup of tea (for a change), dealing with emails, and catching up on the latest news.

Apparently he's not dead yet. Sigh.

Glad I went too. My primary doctor said it could have been much worse if I hadn't.

Just took a nap in my own bed. What a treat to be in a bed that doesn't nag you. The hospital one started saying "Don't get up, don't get up" the instant my foot touched the floor.

I hate nagging beds.

Don't eat any of the -itol sugars, xylitol, malitol, sorbitol, etc they thicken the blood.
