Debm55 just told me that you all just put me over the top on my GoFundMe fundraiser.
I'm stunned, and yet again turning into a emotional basket case. (That's a good thing)
The last post I read was about Josh Marshalls reporting on the gutting of Social Security as I'm trying to get SSDI. I laid down trying not to be depressed by that news and here you all have lifted my spirits even higher than I could have thought possible
I can't express how big a surprise and yet another example of the miracles that I couldn't have imagined deserving.
I will be reaching out to each of you that have written and donated of course.
Please know that these funds will take care of May bills as promised and I'm just so unbelievably overwhelmed with gratitude and more than that, filled with $5532 reasons for hope.
I willl be on tomorrow and begin my very favorite part of life right now, offering and feeling the gratitude that only only a recipient of true grace can express and understand.
I love you all so much, I thank you all so much and that you've blessed me with your grace.

(311 posts)You are a wonderful example of a person facing their fears with courage, in the midst of "interesting times" no less, and that makes you a blessing. An inspiration to all who know you. A blessing is like a pebble tossed into a lake. The ripples go out and who can tell where they will go and who they will touch.
You've got it, John. You are spreading your blessings out into the world. They will do great good and make for more and more ripples. The good you spread will go far beyond our horizons.
You do me good, I am a cynic by nature and inclination and you bring forth my better angel. Thank you.
Take it easy and heal. Time to pet on yourself a bit, you deserve it.

By definition, I've sought not just purpose, but validation with specific results.
I can now laugh at that silly notion because if that were the case, I'd be liable for all the actions that I didn't take.
The pebble analogy is so perfect because their effects are never by intentional design but rather the wave created washes over any of us, bathing us in its effect.
Thank you for that.
