Go to YouTube, there will be a hundred people providing analysis.

My hunch is that Gemma’s consciousness is in this three D printed thingy that we see .

1. Creepy whistling dentist/doctor walks past her when she and Mark are at the fertility clinic.
2. when her death was faked, cops show up at Mark's door the night she want to Charades party with out him.
3. First time we see the full extent of Ms. Caseys/Gemma's torturous life as an Innie.
4. She's Gemma, her outie, when not inside those torture rooms. She became Ms. Casey she got on the elevator. was Ms. Casey when she ran into Milchik.
5. They are using Gemma to experience stuff that people want to avoid: Going to the Dentist, writing Christmas cards, airplane turbulence.. Maybe that's how they can sell the chip/program to people... your innie can experience the bad stuff, you won't even remember.

I guess we can say Lumon is developing a product that allows people to have their innies to experience unpleasant stuff for the outie. Poor Gemma is the Guinea Pig
