I love Aldi knock offs. Less than half the price & they have "regular" & "diet" versions.

There are a lot of companies who use chocolate wafers as part of other preparations like ice cream cookies, so Nabisco makes Oreo Wafers. If you buy them from a restaurant supply store they come in a 23-pound box - a quantity no one could eat on their own - so there are companies who buy boxes of them and repackage them in more-reasonable sizes.
