(Later it was Password and Jeopardy.)

(69,705 posts)But when I was a kid, it was an obscure little game show that disappeared without a trace, Cross-Wits.
It was a gameshow about completing a crossword puzzle on the shiny, lit-up studio game board.
The thing I liked best about it was that the stage was dimly lit on a kind of black box set. Much more interesting than the colorful, overbright sets of most gameshows. It was soothing.
And the hostess who used her pointer to indicate the crossword line currently in play was a very pretty blonde lady. Ten year-old me liked that very much.
