that I put beads on. OMG I can't believe I wore that. How about you?

tough choice between the two - though I never really thought I was cool, I just thought the clothes were cool.

(9,903 posts)(It was the 80's) I was very shy in HS, so I have no idea why I wore something that would draw attention to myself!

(12,395 posts)Both items from the Avon catalog back in the late 70s/early 80s. I thought I was the cat's meow in those things!
I wore those along with my "Sweet Honesty" perfume, also from Avon

(1,938 posts)small midwestern town. Oddly, I got a certain amount of respect but it was a lonely existance. ANYWAY... probably the freakiest thing was a black victorian cape with a ruffly collar that I found in the attic - literally circa 1900 or so. It was about hip length, not any longer than the ponchos everyone was wearing at the time. It was the ONLY black thing I ever had or wore and really only wore it a few times one semester. . Decades later, I met someone who remembered me and said "oh youre the one who always wore all black" which was simply not true. It wasnt "always," and it never was "ALL" black!
