I remember but never joined. I was in the Science Fiction Bookclub for a couple of years and got a few books...

It was a great deal.
I replaced all my albums with CD's.
I had 4 Bose 901 speakers.
They hung from the ceiling.
1 in each corner of the living room.
What a sound !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(22,126 posts)7. Wilson is the obvious answer, but for us mortals, SVS makes a great sounding speaker set that most can afford.
There are literally hundreds of manufactures that sound better than Bose, but they put most of their $$ into advertising, so that is why they are a household name. Of course, if you are happy with yours, that is ALL that matters.
