It is such a frightening experience. Words cannot describe how impressed I am with this woman who took this dog in and gives him love and comfort.

I had a poodle that started having seizures pretty young. It was terrifying to watch the first time it happened. Later in life I also had a seizure. I learned from that experience that is much worse to watch that to have one, if you are in a safe place. You lose consciousness and wake up, tired and hopefully not injured.

5. Our Cocker Spaniel

My wife had a 7 year old Cocker Spaniel when we got married. For some reason she never warmed up to me until she was about 10 and started having seizures. I was with her once when she had one, I sat down in the floor in the utility room and just held her until it was it was over. After that we became much closer. I think I gained her trust when I held her in her time of need. She stayed with us for another four years before her health issues became to much to overcome. She is missed every day.
