Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsWent out for breakfast this morning, too many IDIOTs wearing "ball caps"
Pet peeve….
WHY the phuck are people wearing ‘ball caps’ while eating
breakfast at a nice ‘diner’
This breakfast place is nice, not just some common breakfast diner,
FIRST WATCH. It’s a chain breakfast restaurant
There were a couple, maybe in their 50s, and both male and female
we’re wearing ball caps while eating breakfast inside.
Then 4 more adults,, maybe 30s, both male n female
wearing ball caps…at two tables
Then three younger males,,, 20s,,, wearing nice black t-shirts,
t-shirts w/ logos and art work about tattoo place,,
All wearing ,, I think black ball caps.
SO WHY WEAR A BALL CAP AT BREAKFAST ?
Geez, BubbaLand is a world to itself.

(13,605 posts)There may be a handful of places where it is still criticized ... But, the places that actual recognize or promote that brand of decorum - are really few and far between.
And the chances are that many have never even heard ...

(9,658 posts)I see people out and about in their pajamas in my small town and in Walmart. Many articles are about the laid back pajama trend.. Many look like they might have just rolled out of bed.
My boyfriend is almost bald -always has a hat on - especially in winter when it’s colder. I’m just thankful he still puts on sweat pants & is not running around in cute animal themed pajamas!!!!!

Doesn’t surprise me, or bother me…guess I expect that from
kids (anyone less than 30 years old is a “kid” to me)
But ADULTS and who looked like married couples in their
50s and 60s……should have enough common sense n manners to not wear some
cheap ball cap inside at breakfast.
It’s bad enough to see IDIOTS wearing their caps backwards outside in the sun.
I WILL NEVER GET OVER THAT CRAZE A DECADE AGO OR SO AGO,
WHEN YOUNG WOMEN WORE WINTER BOOTS IN SUMMER WITH THEIR SHORTS.
GOD PEOPLE ARE DUMB

(39,494 posts)Maybe when wearing sports team gear became a thing? When I was a kid only farmers & hicks wore ball caps & only hicks wore them backwards. With a flic of my Bic I can see you're a hick. Who remembers that?

(109,223 posts)When many people do casual things?
Sorry, but there are so damned many things to get annoyed about that this one doesn't rise to the top of my list-- unless they were MAGA ball caps, I'm not too concerned.

(14,924 posts)A good hair day for me is likely a bad hair day for anyone else. Sometimes I don't feel like messing with it even to make it look that good, so I wear a hat to feel less self-conscious. Sorry that offends you.
Anyway, you won't find me at First Watch because they're so dang slow and noisy and their food is mediocre at best. One less hat for you to worry about.

(1,402 posts)Quite a few restaurants around me have ATTIRE NOTICES.
Mostly for when the Summer HEAT is brutal….
NO BALL CAPS.
NO TANK TOPS
CLOTHES MUST NOT BE NOT TOO REVEALING,
SHORTS MUST BE RESORT CASUAL
and one has/have…..
NO SWIMWEAR
But that’s only at an outdoor patio
‘Cafe’ by the inner city walking trail

(1,259 posts)A ball cap gives partial protection from sun and light rain but, when you wear it just in case and get indoors, if you take it off you might forget it when you leave. It might sound absurd but, were he still alive, you might ask my husband, who removed his hat, how many hats he left behind and couldn't retrieve. Leaving it on, while some might think it disrespectful, in actual fact hurts absolutely no body and insures that you have it when you leave.

(15 posts)...and wore a baseball cap. I'm a retiree and pretty well dress how I want to so please don't hate on me.
However, if I went out to a nice place for dinner I wouldn't wear a cap.
