Lucky, host and musical guest
So Lucky is not more exceptional than other dogs. He charges at cats, and they ignore him, and runs away if they make a stand. Every day he clamors to get outside when he hears the mail carrier's motor coming, barks and bounces at the fence, then waits there until the truck comes back the other way. The new thing in the past year is that after the truck is gone, he waits at the gate looking back at the front door for me to go out there to retrieve the mail. Not remarkable is the barking and running for the trash pickup trucks.
As for barking and howling with YouTubes of dogs and wolves, after the first couple of years he went into mostly Meh and Old Hat modes about joining in, except for occasional wolves howling. He's totally bummed over the very vocal Huskies, like, "Give it a rest."
But as noted before, he instantly responds with attention and howling over a specific genre of Classical music, choral and choir things, such as prolonged, sustained, slow Gregorian Chants, soundtrack from a Chinese movie. The point of this here is that it happened unexpectedly when a YouTube popped up, Samuel BARBER's Agnus Dei, and he spontaneously performed:
