I cancelled my subscription to The Washington Post

Over their Editorial Boards trashing of CA in their “ Best State” article. It was pure right wing nut job am radio garble.

I like having a national new source.

Any recommendations of what to subscribe to next? I already subscribe to a local paper .

Thanks in advance for any suggestions, and sorry if I should not be posting this in the lounge.

It's a UK paper, but keeps up well with US news. Funded by memberships, so you don't have to worry about oligarch influence (or at least, not as much, at any rate.) https://www.theguardian.com/

I went with The Inquirer when I dropped Wapo, because they endorsed Kamala Harris. It’s very Philadelphia- centered, so I don’t know how much I can recommend it. What about the Boston Globe? It used to be excellent, but I honestly don’t know how good it is anymore.
