When I was staying with my cousin in
L. A. on my cross country trip a little lizard showed up in her bathroom sink. It took me a while to finally catch it, and l was afraid it was going to lose it's tail (a defensive strategy)!

Anyway, finally caught it gently behind it's neck, while it tried to turn it's head (about 1/2"+ inch) to bite me. I just talked to it, "Hey, li'l guy, I'm taking you outside where you belong.". Got 'em safely outside w/o loss of tail.
