(77,427 posts)And I don't do lyrics, don't know what the songs are about, just *melody* for me! I've been shocked when I found out "Goodbye Stranger" is about some a-hole f***ing across the country! And now loving "Creep" feeling like, wow *creepy*!

(4,109 posts)It is all about the melody with a few exceptions for me too.
I never realized that about Goodbye Stranger! Geez. Ugh.
And now I have to look up "Creep". Never heard of it. Still out of touch, sigh.

(4,109 posts)Well met indeed.
It's been years since I read her poetry. Lots of stuff I need to read and do in my twilight years ha ha.
Ah Radiohead, also from the 90's I see, though they formed earlier. One of the bands I missed entirely though the song rings a bell. That song is real though, there is pain and yearning there. Maybe hatred and envy mixed in? The Cry of the Incel? But it rocks, really pulls you in to the mood!

(4,109 posts)Wish I had said no to the rat race. It gave me and mine a comfortable life but not one truly well-lived. Oh well, it's a common story and mine is not finished yet!
I laboured in finance and policy in government. Looking back on it now - just ugh..
Hope yours was not so painful.
