As we enter a period of what will seem to be seven days and seven nights of crazy rain here in Central Illinois, it reminds me that in order for anything to grow and prosper, it will need good nourishment.

Aren't we the same?

Please give us a day filled with opportunities to nourish the seeds of growth within us, let us remember that our process takes time too, and that we deserve patience, especially from ourselves.

12. I put YouTube cat entertainment videos on my tv when there is a storm, so it distracts

my fur kids. I freak out more than them. A few years ago lightning started a fire close to my house and we had to evacuate. Evacuating with cats is not fun.

I really struggled with giving myself permission to just be, in whatever state I may be in, just to trust that it's right for now.

I was watching nature shows with Shadow yesterday evening, my goodness was she enthralled.
