(27,459 posts)Its kind of hard to watch when you think about kittehs in trees scared and hungry. But he has all the ropes and skill to climb the trees.
His signature line the cats in the bag!
My friend had a cat run up a tree for a couple days. She called the fire department and they gave her the line you never see a cat skeleton in a tree
Duane Hook hates that saying as sometimes cats cant get down and die or get taken by predators. Pity the fool who uses it on his page.
So anyway my friend found someone on Facebook to help. The cat lady from Facebook got stuck in the tree so the fire department had to rescue them both. Problem solved - you just need to get a human trapped with the cat.

(27,459 posts)The trick is, as I said upthread, is to get a human stuck up there with the cat. Then the fire department will come.

(9,352 posts)chased by a neighborhood dog, which I chased away. I went to the tree and looked up at him and saw him look down, shudder, grab on tighter, and close his eyes. It wasn't any 30 feet - more like 10-13, but too tall for me to reach him. Another of our cats showed up then and I said to him, "Oh, Archie, I wish you could tell your brother Sherlock how to get down." Archie looked at me, looked at Sherlock, climbed up the tree, got Sherlock's attention by poking him with his nose, and then slowly backed down one branch. It took, Sherlock a while, but eventually he slowly and awkwardly backed down one branch. I watched with total disbelief while Archie got him down one branch at a time. When there were no more branches, they were within about 3 feet of the ground - and just jumped down - both safe. That was when Archie started to become a legend. Don't get me started on him. We'd both be here all night, and I might not be finished even then.
