On my own while in Australia. I slathered it on like peanut butter on toast.... But it is VERY POWERFUL and is apparently supposed to be used very sparingly. So I tried again.... Just a hint of it with some butter.. and it was much better. Not so good that I ever tried it again, but better and tolerable. Has a very salty and strong taste.

The worst pizza I've ever had was still pizza. The womenfolk here have one of those stones to cook the pizza in the oven, and they get these strange tasting pizzas. One had goat cheese on it with spinach. That might have been the worst pizza I ever ate.

just gross. Ick. Not for me.

DH eats it sometimes at a restaurant, he has to kiss me first because after that, no kisses for a few hours at least!

Same rule with creamed herring, which is also ick to me.

Fri Mar 27, 2026, 03:42 PM

Uni, or sea urchin roe, is a premium Japanese sushi delicacy featuring the creamy, custard-like, and sweet-briny gonads of the sea urchin. Usually served as high-end nigiri or gunkan-maki (battleship roll) wrapped in nori, it is renowned for its rich, umami-packed flavor. Due to its delicate, labour-intensive harvesting, fresh uni is expensive, often costing over
$12 per piece.

Well, the piece I had may have been past it "best by" date. It was disgusting. it felt furry in my mouth, and tasted terrible. I love most kinds of sushi and sashimi, but this was hideous.

I've never been brave enough to try again.

Squash she had grown herself in our backyard. Farm-to-table does not necessarily guarantee good eating.

Super high temperature counter top pizza cooker.
We make homemade pizza, but it work great on frozen pizza, as long as we let the frozen pizza sit out for an hour.
We buy a cheap thin crust, add extra cheese, onion, thin slices tomato, & garlic powder.
The Piezano heats the stone from the bottom at 800° & from above the pie at 700°.
3 minutes and the crust gets crisp, but still chewy.
One of the best kitchen gadgets we ever bought.
On homemade pizza, we get amazing results.

I like many of the things people posted about, but I can't do organ meat, sea creatures other than shrimp, crab, and lobster, and raw fish or meat. Other than that I am an omnivore.

Well, there were little hearts, kidneys floating in it! This is like 55+ yrs ago.

But I loved my cousin, and didn't want to disappoint her.
The heart? Eh. But the kidneys - ick!

Luckily my mom never cooked liver. Yet I love liverwurst; guess the herbs & spices counter rhe natural 😄 ?questionable taste.

I'd never have raw fish sushi, nor oysters!

And be careful at a Puerto Rican restaurant!
You want Monfungo - mashed fried green plantains w olive oil, garlic and ? but not
Mondongo - cooked chopped up tripe w whatever!
Two wrong letters - you in trouble!
No, never happened to me.
