US and NATO troops train on the Syrian border

There have been reports of hundreds of American and NATO troops training militants on the Syrian border to overthrow Al-assad's regime. According to a former FBI official this has been going on since May 2011. Why are we not hearing about this on American mainstream media? Sibel Edmonds, president of the National Security Whistle blowers Coalition, exposes what is going on around Syria.

Excellent interview!

an interesting point about the US media.

The US media does not generally print information that the US government considers to be truly top secret.

For example, the NY Times had the story about the electronic surveillance of American communications long before it published it. It refrained from publishing the story, apparently, at the request or hint of the Bush administration.

Yet, the NYTimes was quite willing to print the stories from Wikileaks. Does that suggest that perhaps either those stories were not as secret as the government now claims? Does that suggest that perhaps the government was actively or tacitly complicit in the release and publication of those stories?

Or did the government and the NY Times just get their wires crossed somehow?

And whatever happened to the free press? Sad, isn't it?
