Adding an old alarm clock to my inventory

I wound it up and it works. I'm listening to the ticking. I think most of us in my age group heard the sound of a ticking clock when we were growing up. I haven't heard it for a long time. I'm not sure it is calming or nerve-wracking, but pretty sure I won't rewind after it runs down.

It is a cool alarm clock. Double brass bells on top, the body is painted red, and the face is made so that the works are visible. The gears are different colors. Interesting. Made by Robertshaw Controls Company Lux Time Division Lebanon, TN USA

When I was a kid. It had “mod” colors and style. Mid 60s.

Kids today are astonished at the idea of having a clock that you have to wind up every day. My sons use their phones as their alarm clocks.

I eventually replaced my wind- up clock with a newfangled clock radio that had little card like things that flipped over when the numbers changed. It made very soft flipping noises throughout the night.

I don't have to get up early often. The phone also makes a good timer

I remember when my Mom got an electric clock for her night table. Maple case, glow in the dark sweep hands. it was novel . lol

There would be no other sound in the house. I would stay awake in bed, listening for the 11 pm Phoebe Snow to blow its horn, before coming into the Summit train station.

It was the last train of the evening.

I didn't take a picture last night, but saw examples on eBay. I need to clean it up. Glad you like it.

One was red metal, and as you say, bells on top, stop button, wind up, made in Germany, about 1980. The other was an orange cube clock, Seth Thomas, electric, buzzer alarm, circa 1970. I think they cleared about ten bucks each.

So almost everything is priced cheap. Since August, I've added over 1300 items to my inventory sheet. Doesn't look like I've touched what's stored. When we were buying and collecting, we sold odds and ends on eBay, so most of the stuff is paid for. I'll have the booth till the place goes out of business, or I run out of stored items. Lol
Anyway, all that to say most of the clocks I'm selling are $5.00. I put $20.00 on a vintage motion clock that works, but it hasn't sold. But I have hopes I'm sure the prices are make ng the dealers happy, maybe collectors, too.
