I was looking at photograghs

I was looking at pics I had on ext. hds. Then switched to a box of old photos we got here and there over the years. Last night, thought I'd do a little research on a picture of a club in Chicago. The club was called The Three Deuces. There are signs with the names of entertainers. One is Dorothy Carroll, The Sepia Song Bird of the South. Didn't find her, but found the other entertainer, Stuff Smith and his Gang. I was surprised to learn a whole lot about Swing Era jazz I didn't know. His group was later named Stuff Smith and His Onyx Club Boys. I listened to one of their songs on You Tube. Reminds me of the music they played in It's a Wonderful Life when Jimmy Stewart and Clarence were in the bar.
Stuff Smith was born in Ohio, and is one of the most influential jazz violinists of all times.
