(3,946 posts)I have very little room in the motorhome, but I'd love to have about a 12-18 inch print.
LiberalLoner
(10,709 posts)To download my image and print and use as you wish. I think copy shops make art quality prints with digital images? Ive never tried so Im not sure.
But please feel free to use any of my paintings I post here for prints, screen savers etc. the only thing I ask is for it to be personal use rather than professional or resale.

(1,875 posts)I'm on the beach being overwhelmed by the color right now.
Wish I could capture reality. My abstracts are colorful, but they look like drug trips. (I don't actually do drugs.)
You have my most heartfelt sympathy regarding the urge to go back and change it. One of the most crucial challenges in any artistic endeavor is knowing when to stop.
Just look at George Lucas and how he keeps tweaking Star Wars.

(10,709 posts)And being able to sympathize with shared challenges! I am sure your work is awesome!
I read somewhere recently that we artists tend to hate our own work because it always looks like we made it and we keep hoping to get to a point where it will look like someone else made it, which just isnt possible of course.

(10,709 posts)To be honest Ive been being trolled on Twitter and was feeling blue and down on myself but I walked away from there and am starting to feel better now. If I told you who was responsible for the trolling you would never believe it in a million years

(24,268 posts)It takes courage to share your work with the world. It takes no personal courage to troll. Stay strong. Keep being you.
ETA: I saw the painting you posted to twitter. It is just beautiful.

(28,283 posts)Do you sell prints?
(cannot afford paintings, unless they are very inexpensive.)
I have a friend in FL, dying of cancer, who'd love this.
TY for sharing with us.

(10,709 posts)A lot of printers now let you make really nice prints from digital photos. Im not picky, as long as someone isnt trying to sell my work to others, I am happy to let people use my image for personal use, prints, screen savers, etc.
If you feel okay sending me an address, yours or the friend, I will send the original for free. Id feel really good about doing that random act of kindness. Our world needs more acts like that I think.
Its small, its only 8x10. Im kind of cheap when it comes to buying paper. I keep telling myself I need to buy some bigger paper and then my paintings would look better, but its hard to get out of the habit of not wanting to spend much.
But if you framed it (pastels have to be framed behind glass to prevent smudging as they never dry in a sense) you could make it seem bigger. I usually buy an 11x14 frame with an 8x10 mat from Amazon. They dont cost too much if you dont get a really super fancy frame.

(53,410 posts)This reminds me of a vacation I took with a group of college students and spent the entire time on a beach in Mexico in a small town named Zihuatanejo. We camped behind a sand dune on the edge of a jungle in a small bay. It was so hot that one guy in the group would go wild struggling to get out of the tent and then run screaming into the surf to cool down. Eventually all of us followed him.
It was gorgeous there. Our beach was in a half moon shaped bay on the side of a peninsula and we could trek through some jungle to the other side of the jut of land where there were cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. From that height we could see Manta Rays swimming under the water close to the cliffs. It was marvelous! I have never forgotten the magical feeling of that place and Im grateful for the experience. We ate fresh catch of the day in an open space restaurant hut on the beach where we could watch the locals cook freshly caught fish, clams and sea turtles over a makeshift fire. Though I must say I couldnt bring myself to eat turtle and only ate one clam because when I squeezed some lime on the remaining clams they squirmed! They were supposed to be eaten alive but I was unable to eat any more of them.
Your painting brought it all back to me because thats how our beach looked because Zihuatanejo is on the West coast of Mexico, a couple of hours drive north along the coast from Acapulco, but not yet a huge tourist center. I can feel the waves washing around my ankles and see the luminescence of our footprints when we walked on the beach at night. Its another, very magical world!
Thanks so much!
