Is this production of ..."The Little Mermaid" the same one that was in theaters many years ago?

No...IT IS LIVE ACTION ACCORDING TO THE INTERNET.... IS it LIVE ACTION? OR ANIMATED?

It's live action, or as live action as a film can be that takes place in part under the sea, with talking, singing, and dancing sea life! It is a remake of the animated film from 1989.

Here's a link to IMDB.com with a list. I hadn't really been paying attention, but Disney did a TV series AND a "The Little Mermaid Live!" version in the years since the '89 one. A separate film was also done in 2018 that wasn't Disney and didn't bear much relation to the Disney version.
