Trivia: There's a scene where T.E. Lawrence and Lawrence of Arabia (1962) is discussed. Coincidentally, Peter O'Toole was such a fan of this movie, that he agreed to read the script for The Stunt Man (1980) when presented at a party by director Richard Rush. O'Toole wound up being Oscar-nominated for his performance in that film.
2:30 AM The Thief Who Came to Dinner (1973)

Dir: Bud Yorkin Cast: Richard O'Brien, Warren Oates, Jill Clayburgh
Runtime: 105 mins Genre: Romance Rating: TV-PG CC: Y
Trivia: Walter Hill's screenplay, based on the novel by Terrence Lore Smith, shifts the plot locale from Chicago to Houston and completely leaves out the relationship development between Webster/Dave and Dave/Jackie (called Lina in the book) and the gradual physical change in Webster (in the book, he starts out as balding with a broken nose and scars from college football, but has hair grafts, dental work, rhinoplasty and scar removal, whereas in the film he is "pretty" from start to finish).
4:30 AM McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971)
An itinerant gambler and a madame become business partners in this off-beat western set in a small mining town in the Pacific Northwest.
Dir: Robert Altman Cast: Warren Beatty, Julie Christie, Rene Auberjonois
Runtime: 121 mins Genre: Western Rating: TV-MA CC: Y
Oscar nominations:
ACTRESS -- Julie Christie {"Mrs. Constance Miller"}
Trivia: For a distinctive look, Robert Altman and Vilmos Zsigmond chose to "flash" (pre-fog) the film negative before its eventual exposure, as well as use a number of filters on the cameras, rather than manipulate the film in post-production; in this way the studio could not force him to change the film's look to something less distinctive. However, this was not done for the final 20 minutes of the picture, as Altman wanted the danger to McCabe to be as realistic as possible. Note the change when McCabe wakes up, grabs a shotgun, and starts off to the church.

Trivia: Jeanette MacDonald very much wanted Allan Jones to star in this film as her leading man. He was unable to work on the film due to his role in The Marx Brothers's A Night at the Opera (1935). This scheduling conflict set the stage for Nelson Eddy to act alongside MacDonald, in what would become the first of eight film pairings featuring the two stars.
Trivia: The song, "Ah, Sweet Mystery Of Life" is famously sung by Madeline Kahn as the Bride of Frankenstein in Mel Brooks's Young Frankenstein (1974). Elsa Lanchester, who appears in "Naughty Marietta" as the governor's wife, played the The Bride of Frankenstein (1935) the same year "Naughty Marietta" was made.
Trivia: Frank Morgan was required to shave his mustache, which he hadn't done for 17 years.

Bogart insisted Robinson be treated like a major star, and he would not come to the set until Robinson was ready. Often, he would go to Robinson's trailer to personally escort him to the set.
Trivia: The real Key Largo hosts a Humphrey Bogart film festival each year to honor this film.

It was filmed on July 5, and the real-life bombing started on July 10, 1940.

Trivia: The writers came up with the idea to make Neville's love interest an African-American woman. Trivia: The blonde wig that Barbara Stanwyck is wearing throughout the movie was the idea of Billy Wilder.
