It was one of the three orchestra works I had to conduct for my Masters. The third movement is very tricky but this second movement is lovely and passionate.

Watch out for those Russians when soloist and conductor are on the same deep wavelength. Nothing like it. Sanderling has a definitive recording of the Rach 2 with Richter as well.
