Opera Lounge with Siegfried from the ring cycle 7 Pacific.

Tiki Lounge at 5.

So ready your Mai Tai's and chill the Gewürztraminer for the Wagner.

From Sean:

The Clemens Krauss Ring Cycle continues this Saturday with Seigfried at 7pm PST and of course preceded by our fantastic and fun Tiki Lounge at 5pm PST.

Wagner ever wrote. Siegfried can be an obnoxious bastard (and Speight Jenkins, former General Director of Seattle Opera, reminds us that he is a teenaged kid with immense power), but his loneliness and longing in this piece are heartbreaking.

If you are unfamiliar with The Ring, Anna Russel's commentary is a blast.

Siegfied gets his share of chuckles.

Agree on the forest music.

I'll have to compare with A Siegfried Idyll

I always thought of the Siegfried Idyll as the “end credits” of the Ring Cycle. Kind of like those war movies in which the end credits include clips of the characters.

It’s like saying: “It’s all right. Everyone’s okay; no one is dead. It was just an opera.”
