A string game with most or all fingers?

Somewhere around the age of 14, there was a string activity popular with girls in my area.

One person would hold a design and another person would take the design from the first person’s fingers.

Was this a particular game or design?

5. We used to do it all the time when I was in elementary school. Tried out different designs and so on

6. Boys played it, too. I can still do the first three, the rest have deserted an aging brain.

I guess there are only three moves, but I thought there were more.

7. Oh, yeah! Loved doing that as a kid. The Polynesians I believe used to do incredibly complex ones.
