The Ting Tings "That's Not My Name" Live

The Ting Tings are a British duo with Jules De Martino on the drums, bass, and vocals and Katie White on guitar, percussion, and hand clapping LOL. They had quite a run back in the early part of the century, and I believe I first saw them on Rockin' New Year for 2001.

One thing they've proven, they don't need a backing band to put out a bunch of coordinated sound that I call Acid Pop.
Jules is the musical backbone of the two with a mastery at the kit and creative production. Together they're hotter than Chinese mustard.

I love on this song how Katie uses a voice recorder to make a loop of her chorus then playing it back over the melody until it crescendos into an audible assault. The song was inspired by their distrust of music labels.
