1. Has An Old, True To Form Folk Feel

The first one reminded me of a young Neal Diamond.
There's an authentic vibe to it that I can see attractive to many.

Btw, I found the old article where Bowie talked about Tucker's first album along with 24 other favorite albums, and I'll be posting a separate OP on that.

Tony said something in that podcast about Bowie having compared Tucker to Bob Dylan. Just found that section again, not quite 21 minutes in. Tony said that back then Bowie considered Tucker "on the level of Bob Dylan" and felt "intimidated" by him.

Tucker is mentioned in Tony's bio. This is from page 115:

Another good friend and colleague was folk-rock singer/composer Tucker Zimmerman, a San Franciscan who came to London via a music conservatory in Naples, Italy. I made a very simple but effective album with him called Ten Songs by Tucker Zimmerman, with a single called 'The Red Wind'. I think this might have been the very first session I used Rick Wakeman on - possibly his first recording session ever.
