Two guitars i played yesterday.

Dyslexic terrible punctuation ramble warning.

A friend an old guy union freight hauler as i stopped around with his one grandson yesterday to show us what Santa left under their tree.
The one guitar is a Faber Les Paul rebirth. Once again our Japanese brothers and sisters knocked it out of the park.
The other guitar is a Pete Anderson Eastsider tele model both used yet awesome guitars.
The guitars in the links below are just examples of what Santa brought them.
The Pete Anderson i like the neck radius great for slide guitar. Aftermarket Lollars tele flat pole pickups and upgraded pots with 50’s wiring.
And the Eastsiders have a chambered body if you want to add a third pickup Nashville style. The Faber Les Paul once again the Japanese's luthiers have produced a great guitar with a reasonable asking price, grandpa picked up the faber used for $600.
After his grandson showed me his Faber guitar the kid didn’t get it back from me as i played it as they visited.
I pulled the respect your elders son now go sit at the table and feed your face with sloppy Joe Mac and cheese while your grandfather and i do adult stuff and jam .
His grandson is a sweet kid the boy is fourteen and hollow legs he devoured two bowls of sloppy Joe Mac and cheese football snacks.

Then the boy cut himself a piece of banana cream pie as in huge piece that could be for two people.

And i laughed after seeing the piece he brought to the table to sit with us. Dunc the furry golden chonk in tow following the boy.
Yet the grandson made out i gifted him two pedals a Steel singer clone and clone tube screamer to stack with it.
Showing him how if you put the tube screamer after the steel singer it will give you a warm tone especially with humbuckers rolling the pots off.
In my old guy demonstration I said son think Toy Caldwell Marshall Tucker band or the Allman brothers the tone you are hearing is like a blanket wrapping you , and if you place the tube screamer before the singer you will get a nice bump to your amp.
The child just sat there with glazed eyes as i tried to explain, not sure if it was because he was full from eating or just thinking this old man just hijacked my new Les Paul on Christmas day what a asshole. Yet please do not feel bad for this boy after they left I discovered as well he ate the last two raisin cookies.

Yet my point in this ramble it was a nice time as in for about three hours we escaped the reality of today, and Dunc scored a bite of pie.

Of course I was perusing DU looking for political intrigue, but couldn't pass up a guitar thread! When my son and my wife encouraged me to 'go for it', I finally scarfed up a niche guitar I'd been looking at online. Guild has a couple of reasonably priced baritone guitars (tuned B to b rather than E to e), and I finally picked one up online in pursuit of that low twangy country sound!

Happy Boxing Day!

Like these a lot!

You could write down your thoughts and/or feelings any time you meet a new guitar, Duncanpup! I bet after awhile you’d have a most enjoyable journal.

Keep ‘em coming.

As a father who raised 4 sons, well, I don’t realy know how we kept them fed. Chances are they say we starved them.

I had a ton of guitars and basses when I was young. I don't play anymore, but I still have an Ibanez double cutaway, I swapped the pickups for a pair of Schaller high impedance humbuckers, and I have a Gretsch hollow body. They are packed away in the basement, I keep saying one of these days I will get them out. Someday.
