**** February Contest Information ****

Well, we will hold a February photo contest after all. It will be run on a crazy schedule to get around my trip to Costa Rica.

Trailrider1951, as the winner of the January contest, with the beautiful photo of the vintage sewing machine, has chosen the theme for February to be "My Community".

Whatever comes to mind that reminds you of or represents your community could be the winning photograph. What's a community? you ask. It could be your home town, a group of people who share the same space or activity, or a brotherhood of living things. Use your imagination.

I will post the submissions and comment threads on February 5 and it will remain open until there are 30 entries or when I return from my trip. The preliminaries will be posted on February 19 and the finals on Sunday, the 23rd. I'm sorry that I have to push the contest out to the end of the month, but that's the way it is.
