a couple more from White Pocket

Here's where we camped. I learned long ago that when camping in groups, it's always best to be proactive and snag my preferred sleeping spot while everyone else is occupied doing something else, lol. That blue pack leaning against the tree is mine, and that's where I slept, under that tree. The foreground is all hard rock, but I spread my sleeping bag over soft sand.

Laying on my back, looking at the stars. Zero light pollution. I'm glad you like the images!

I live in a rural area, and we often take blankets out in the fields to star gaze. No lights. Just a wide-open sky full of twinkle, twinkles.

I love the rock textures.

And how clever of you to pick out your sleeping spot right away!

I have known the desperate pain of watching the last level sleeping spot become someone else's. The struggle is real!

White Pocket looks like an amazing place. I had to google to find out where it is (northern Arizona), as i had never heard of it before this.

The American west seems to be full of scenic spots that are not well known to those of us in other parts of the country, in addition to all the famous ones!

If I spend the rest of my life exploring the west-- admittedly not likely to be much longer-- there will still be a thousand unseen places that are majestic and beautiful twenty-four hours a day, whether anyone sees them or not. What a wonderful world!
