the leo triplet of galaxies

the leo triplet,composed of M65,M66 and NGC 3628. these 3 galaxies are about 35 million light years away
10 hours of exposure in my yard

If they're actually close together -- imagine if you lived in one of those galaxies, and could see two huge, bright spiral galaxies in your night sky. Astronomy might have had a very different history in such a place.

at least on galaxy scales. they are all about the same distance from earth. the group may have 1 or 2 more members but scientists havent decided
