(7,962 posts)Turns out there were thousands of (expensive) sets in 1941 - almost all in NYC and some in Chicago - and broadcasts.
This series is so well done and from what I've read historically accurate. I didn't know the story but it is fascinating and very well written and acted. I think Kyle McLaughlan is doing a great job as FDR.

(7,611 posts)We streamed the entire series last week on the roku. I think my wife made a donation to PBS that made that possible. FDR certainly had a very close relationship with Princess Martha of Norway. That is historical fact.
