The Haunting of Hill House

This Netflix series from 2018 was created and directed by Mike Flanagan. It has a total of 10 episodes. The setup is a series of straight horror tropes revolving around a haunted house. Yet, Flanagan's style that combines horror with drama in a nonlinear way makes it a unique, engaging, and unpredictable experience. This is definitely worth checking out if you want something a little different this Halloween.

1. Really liked it. Liked Bly Manor also.

Especially the unfolding of the mystery within the mystery of Bly.
But I left Netflix when they upped their price and threw my kids off.
Really miss those series. Haven't seen the third installment, House Of Usher.

I need some light viewing before another Haunting series. Hill House took a toll on me!

House Of Usher is an unrelated series by Flanagan.

Mostly the same cast as HHH, and just as good and creepy!

It's good, I'm enjoying it. It is a bit uneven and sort of convoluted in my opinion but has many of those elements that I like.

8. Yeah, it stalled a bit in the middle but went out with a Red Wedding bang!

All in all, very enjoyable. There was maybe a loooooooong monologue or two I could have done without, but that's his style. The kids in the boat were wearing plot armor and were magically cured. Oddly he withheld the satisfaction from seeing the flying vampire burn up or drown or whatever. Sequel?
