Related: About this forumQuestion for MST3K fans
It's one of my favorite shows of all time. I'm looking for similar shows. Ive seen Cinematic Titanic, The Film Crew, and RiffTrax. Are there ay other similar shows worth watching? I found this site with an extensive list of similar shows. Are any of them worth checking out?

(5,350 posts)1. That's a pretty long list of mostly unfamiliar names.
The shows I do recognize, however, aren't like MST3K at all. Talk Soup? Really?
I wish MST3K would go back into production. The Patton Oswalt reboot showed promise and captured the spirit of the old show.

The Ghoul was a TV Horror Host in Detroit in the 70s. He would show mostly B-movie horror flicks and would add sound bites during the movie, kind of like MST3K. He also had different catchphrases, skits, and characters that he developed during commercial breaks.
It was very popular, with a big cult following in the Detroit area overdey!

But I don't recall ever watching his show. He was pretty goofy as I remember..

(6,778 posts)4. Oh yes, he definitely had his moments
A lot of goofy antics before, after, and during breaks, for sure...
But during the movie, he would add sound bites from popular songs, comedy albums, Doctor Demento, etc. Like whenever someone was drinking something, he would add a loud burp, or an "Ow! Ow! Ow!" whenever someone got hurt, lots of stuff like that. Not exactly the running commentary like with MST3K, but he did edit sound clips into the films, which were usually pretty funny. It was a popular show, anyone from the Detroit (and Cleveland) area during that time knows him.
