Related: About this forumI don't suppose anyone else is watching Dutton Ranch.
I've never had such a gut reaction to an (obviously fake) animal slaughter as when they had to put down all those diseased cows. I actually cried.

(14,717 posts)Right now we're finishing up Outlander and Starfleet Academy plus watching For All Mankind and season 4 of SkyMed. I'm not that crazy about the last one but my husband loves it. Dutton Ranch and Star City and in the queue.

(114,931 posts)When the UK had that horrific outbreak they had severe mental health crises among those involved--both farmers, veterinarians and regulators for decades, including suicide. It is a horrific disease and the necessary response to halt its spread is horrendous.
Soon to be followed, sadly by New World Screwworm coming up from Mexico--something that was controlled for 60 years by aggressive interventions, but thanks to cuts to those programs involved (thank you, Musk, R's, Trump) it will spread and it CAN be spread to other animals, including pet species AND humans. Yes, humans.
