Tax check not cashed yet

I sent in my AZ income tax on Apr. 12 together with a check for the amount owed. So far it’s not been cashed. Anyone else have experience with this? Know how long to wait and what to do next?

When owing money to the state sometimes it takes 4-6 months before they cash the check. I say SOMETIMES.

That doesn't make sense to me. AZ must be a wealthy state and doesn't need the revenue.
