Sebastian County early voting for runoff elections to start Tuesday
FORT SMITH --Voters in Fort Smith and Lavaca will have a chance to cast early ballots in the two runoff elections this week.
Early voting for two runoff races in Sebastian County will open Tuesday with four days of voting to take place before Election Day next week on Dec. 3. Lavaca voters will cast ballots for the Alderman Ward 2 Position 2 seat while Fort Smith voters will decide the Director Position 3, Ward 3 seat.
The Sebastian County website shows early voting will be located at the Ben Geren Park Tornado Shelter, 7200 Zero St. in Fort Smith, which was chosen due to it being equally distant from western Fort Smith and Lavaca.
Due to Thanksgiving this week, county officials said early voting would take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Dec. 2, with the polling location open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each of those days.
