There are two votes on the Senate...one for a full term and one to finish a term that became vacant. Do I vote for Alex Padilla for both? I don't know if he can only serve one of the other; for example, if I vote for the shorter term, that eliminates him for the full term. I don't recall ever seeing anything like this before. Why does he have to be elected for the partial term if Newsome has already appointed him to that?

Feinstein is not up for re-election this year so Padilla is listed twice for Full Term and Special (Partial / Unexpired Kamala Harris' term).
