Stealing tailgates has been going on for decades, but tailgates for these newer trucks are very expensive to replace.

The young officer I spoke with voiced that it must of taken five minutes to remove, I responded with how about 4 seconds? We had them on video, but couldn't see the plates! $1,500 for a new one, a felony charge

Probably will go to the scrapyard alongs with mowers and other junk, it's pretty rusty.
