Fresno County prepares for special election to fill council vacancy
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Voters in southeast Fresno are gearing up for another election.
It’s to fill the seat held by former District 5 City Councilmember Luis Chavez. In November, he won a seat on the Fresno County Board Of Supervisors leaving his council seat empty following his swearing-in.
It was a crowded field with four candidates looking to represent southeast Fresno at city hall.
Jose Leon Barraza is currently the CEO of the Southeast Fresno Community Economic Development Association.
Paul Condon is a Fresno resident.
Brandon Vang is currently serving as a Sanger Unified Trustee.
