Ontario's Measure V and Measure W are losing in early election results

Ontario hospitality proposals Measure V and Measure W are not finding support with voters, early election results show Tuesday night, March 24.

The second round of unofficial results from mail-in ballots and the polls, posted at 10 p.m., shows 60.31% or 5,783, voting no on Measure V, which seeks to increase hospitality worker wages and place more restrictions on workloads.

Measure W, which would require more voter input for large entertainment venue projects, also was losing, with 53.33% or 5,076, no votes.

Both measures need a 50% plus 1 majority to pass.
